About Current Labels

Current Labels has a rich history that dates back over 50 years. It all began in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, in the basement of Orin and Miriam Loo's home. Orin, an artist and lithographer, had already established a printing business called Looart Press three years prior. In 1950, Miriam had a brilliant idea to offer a range of paper products to non-profit groups for fundraising purposes. The family came together to print greeting cards, Christmas cards, and recipe cards right in their home, fulfilling orders from their basement. As their business grew, Miriam realized the importance of a name that would always stay current. And so, "Current" was born. In 1967, Current merged with Looart Press, and for the next 20 years, the company remained privately held. Today, Current Labels is proudly owned by Taylor Corporation, who has evolved the brand to what it is known as today.
